Rules
We pride ourselves on the quality of the environment, our fish and want you all to have the best experience you can when you fish with us. With this in mind we would ask all fishermen to strictly adhere to the following rules please:

Keep nets, landing nets and weigh bags all must be dipped and laid out to dry until 15 mins before the match commences. This is to prevent the spread of KHV (Koi Herpes Virus) at our fishery.

All teams are required to weigh in their own matches. Weighing equipment can be provided on request and all fish must be treated with the utmost respect.

The use of Swanlands feed pellets only, available to purchase in Micro, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 11mm. These will be spot checked by the bailiff and anyone found using other feed pellets will be asked to leave the fishery.

Only one rod to be used at any time.

Barbless hooks must be used (maximum size 12).

No bolt rigs.

You must have a minimum of 8 inches of line from float to your elastic connector when pole fishing.

All carp must be netted and not swung in.

Groundbait to be used in a feeder or pole cup only.

No floating baits or floating poles.

No tapping the water with the pole tip.

Banned baits are all meats (excluding fishery own meat, limited to 2 tubs per angler, per session), boilies, wasp grub, trout pellets, jokers, nuts and blood worm..

No bivvies, bite alarms or music.

No peg cutting / gardening without the approval of the bailiff

Keepnets only allowed in matches.

Maximum weight of 70lb of fish in each keepnet at any one time.

No fish to be removed from site or between lakes.

No dogs allowed on site.

All under 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Anglers are required to have a valid rod licence.

All litter including unused bait must be cleared away at the close of every match, including cigarette butts, if not you will not be allowed to return to the fishery

All anglers must their own landing net

All fish must be netted, unhooked and returned to a keep net or water immediately



Note - if anglers have a free platform next to them in a match each angler has the right to the near side of the platform with the middle of the platform being no mans land.



Anyone breaking the rules will be asked to leave the fishery.



Anglers fish at their own risk, Swanlands Fishing Lakes will not accept any liability for personal injury, damaged tackle or personal possessions.

Please note ont one mention of Ducks of rowing boats   8)
