Big Bash AC committee questions

As our club moves forward and continues to  evolve Jasper and myself have been speaking and thinking about a more formmal approach to the committee mebership and would like to gain your views on this prior to an AGM.

we have listed what we believe are the tasks and roles currently being carried out within the exisitng committee structure and they are as below:


Big Bash AC Committee roles and responsibilities

1.   Chairman
The Chairman is responsible for leading the club and focusing it on strategic matters, overseeing the clubs business and setting high governance standards.
Chairing is a key role on any voluntary Management Committee.  The Chairperson must ensure that the Management Committee functions properly, that there is full participation during meetings, that all relevant matters are discussed and that effective decisions are made and carried out.
2.   Treasurer
The Treasurer has a watchdog role over all aspects of financial management, working closely with other members of the Management Committee to safeguard the organisation's finances. ... In summary, the Treasurer is responsible for: General financial oversight. Funding, fundraising and match day deposit payments. Safe keeping of club funds and reporting back to club financial accounts
3.   Club Secretary
The secretary is responsible for tasks including managing correspondence and organising meetings. If and clubs corporation has a committee, the secretary of the committee is also secretary of the clubs corporation. ... The secretary can also be chairperson.
Also for administrating and ensuring Trophies are collected, engraved and re-issued in a timely manner
4.   Match Booking Secretary
To organise match day bookings in advance of the season for correct pegging numbers and appropriate spacing for Summer League and winter league, any other competitions and knock ups.
5.   Match day organiser
To arrange peg numbers prior to draw day. Organise and publish the draw at appropriate time. Ensure match monies are collected in a timely manner, fishery is paid for pegs, and match day pay-outs are delivered, Match day results are published and scores fed back to the league tables in a timely manner.
Ensure club rules are adhered to and followed, match timekeeping in hand and weighing in organised and correct
6.   Committee member
Support match day organiser as and when required, time keeping, weighing in, scores recording. Support any of above roles as and when required.
7.   General guidance
All committee members regardless of roles and responsibilities to work together as a cohesive team for the good of the club. To help promote best practise and preserve the reputation and name of the Big Bash Angling Club

1/ With only a membership of 20 people how many committee people do you think we need?
2/ Are you in agreement with the above roles and responsiibilities
3/ Do you believe some of the roles can be combined
4/ Are you in agreement wiht the listnng above
5/ Are there any other additions or missings to the above list
6/ Do you think the list is over exagerated?
7/ Any other comments or views appreciated.
