2nd in section receive 2 points etc.
If there is a 6 man section then 5th place and 6th place will both receive 5 points. If there are 4 man sections then the    maximum number of points earned in 5 man section will be 4.

Anglers who fish match, catch and don't weigh in to receive lowest weight section points +1
Two Leagues
3    Two Leagues instead of one league to be run in 2018
This is hoped to generate more interest throughout the season. This may require separate guidelines to be developed
a)   Decision taken to move to two leagues
b)   Points on similar system as current format
c)   Leagues to be split from 2017 league,
d)   Gold league 1 x 12 and Silver League 1 x 13
e)   End of season 3 relegated, 3 promoted
f)   New members into Silver League
g)   Pay-out top 2 gold League and top 2 Silver League ( no differential in league payments)
4      League winner will be the person at the end of the season with the lowest points.
5     If there is a tie on points it will be down to total weight across all 14 matches from the season
6.      There are 14 matches in the 2017 season, 5 worse scores can be dropped
7.        All matches to count towards league points including Ferrets match, they will not count 2nd day event match, the Glebe match and team matches.
8    2nd day of two day event to be run as mystery pairs match with pairs drawn at end of match
9    League pay outs will be first and second place in both leagues with slight differential.  Equal amounts for either league payout, maximum pay out £50
10.      Fishery rules will apply to all matches
11.      Keep-nets to be dried on bankside prior to match starting
12.     Weigh ins to be conducted by the first 2 pegs except where fishery staff weigh in ie. Messingham sands and Grange. scales to be read by same person throughout weigh in except for own peg.
13      The Person running the match or a designated committee member to accompany the weigh in team and mark the sheet to try avoid any discrepancies.
14      The weigh in should not start without the presence of the match organiser.
15.      Match times to be 10 to 4, 10 to 3 pm prior to chocks changing unless exceptional circumstances
16.      If it deemed unsafe to fish by incremental weather ( storms. Lightening , high winds) a decision can be taken by the match officials as to cancellation or postponement of the match fr a time period. If the match is cancelled all points will be void
17   .   Peg allocation for disabled anglers and / or novice anglers.7D
Disabled
18.      If park behind peg then disabled angler draws out of hat, no preference to pegs and helper to take next peg up.
19.      If not park behind peg then 1st two pegs are to be given next to car park
Novice
20.      Novice to draw and helper to have next peg up. If end peg drawn
If either draw an end peg then helper to have next peg down.
Both of above to draw out of hat first, before other members
21.    Match fee's to be standardised at £20
Payouts
22.    Payouts to be standardised if possible across season except Fur and Feather.
Payouts to exist of a first prize and 1st and 2nd in sections
Example
25 x 20 fee's = £500
Pegging fees @ £8.00 = 25 x 8.00= £200
£500- £200= £300 pools
5 x 1st in sections @ £30 = £150
5 x 2nd in section @ £20 = £100
First in match = £50
Golden Peg
23.      Golden peg money to be £1.00 over and above £20 match fee.
Golden peg to be open only to league members
Golden peg to have a ceiling of £200
2 x golden pegs to be run if possible when £200 reached, anything extra to be banked to hold for when one is run then a 3rd golden peg can be introduced etc.
Golden peg to be drawn prior to main draw, golden peg 1 to be highest of golden peg amounts
Challenge Cup
24.   Challenge Cup competition
a)   £10 joining fee
b)   Run as 2017 with pairs drawn from first summer league match and same rules re first available match to fish etc.
c)   Once down to finalists then a second draw to be made from original entrants minus the 2 finalists.
d)   Second draw may include 3 per leg instead of 2 due to reduced numbers.
e)   Finalist of first and second leg to share the total payout as 2 x firsts and 2 x seconds (sharing pay-out around more)
Example
First draw
1st leg of 16 ( 8 x 2 round 1) 2nd round of 8 ( 4 x 2 round 2) 3rd leg of 4 ( 2 x 2) final = (1 x 2) = 1st and 2nd
Second draw
1st leg of 14 ( 2 x 3 + 4 x 2 round 1) 2nd round of 6 ( 1 x 3 + 2 x 2 round 2)  final  ( 1 x 2 ) = 1st and 2nd
Golden Peg
25.   Golden peg money has only been won once each season in last 2 years so continues to mount. Currently standing at £568, 2 x £200 and 1 x £168 .
Opinion and feedback is £200 is too high an amount.
a)   Freeze golden peg payments at 2 x £200 until one is won.
b)   When only 1 x £200 left reduce to 2 x £100 golden peg which is deemed more realistic.
c)   When one of these is won start paying back on again at £1 per match.
d)   The £168 to transfer across to match pegging float fund

26.        Match posts to be entered on forum at least 3 weeks in front of the match
27.        It is up to league members to opt out of match if unable to fish and have 7 days notice from match date to withdraw. Any angler not showing up for match will be charged £7.00 peg money
28              A spreadsheet will be utilised to record no shows in less than the 7 day opt our rule
29             The £7.00 wll be requested even if the peg has been filled and at the end of the year a charitable donation will be made from the no show moneys
30.              The biggest fish competition can only be won from a summer league member
When weighing in the biggest fish, if at places like Messingham sands any fish is refused to be weighed by the onsite weigh in team then no fish from that match will count
Biggest fish competition to run from start of summer league to Fur and Feather match.
31     Lakes where peg numbers are less than 25, committee places to give up first to enable club anglers to fish if numbers are full.
32     Fur and Feather match payouts to be on section basis. Total monies to be split into 1st and 2nd section winners only

How about a golden peg in the gold league each match and one in the silver league each match.

Hi Keith,

whilst we have 2 prizes available ( now £100 each) we run with 2 golden pegs for everyone involved. This means there are 2 chances of drawing a Golden peg and so a chance of 2 people winning the prize. Its all luck of the draw and the GP could be 2 people from Gold league, 2 people from the silver league or one from each.

To seperate with one for each league I think we would have to draw the golden pegs out after the main draw. It would involve the main draw taking place, then sorting out which league pegs were which and then a second draw. Im not sure everyone would hang around for this to happen as generally when guys have their pegs they are on the starting blocks to get to their pegs as soon as they can.
