Hi Leo,

You have under rule 5 r. that out of the season your three lowest points scores are to be dropped, should this not be your three highest points?

Hi Billy, thank you for your comments.
We set off on our journey as a "friendly club" with "rules" on the back of a fag packet. Unfortunately our journey has taken us to a place where we now encounter season upon season the rules list growing and expanding in order to try prevent arguements and challenges on match days and also comments spilling over onto the forum and social media.
Onwards and upwards we go.

Suggest that they be changed from "Guidelines" to Rules. Strictly speaking there is a difference.

Leo Martin

This club was founded as a friendly club without a rule book and everything was light hearted and everyone happy with no fall outs etc. The guidelines were introduced to remove arguments, disagrements and introduce consistency for all anglers and matches we fish. Every year we review and add as more and more boundaries are stretched or decisions questioned. This is not wrong but we should ask what we have to do to go back to being that friendly match angling club maybe?

In my view it is becomong more apparent that the word guidelines is incorrect and we should be replaced by the word rules as this is what is quoted on any misdemeanors that take place. This in mind I have replaced the guidelines title with rules so everyone is clear on what requires to be followed.

It is hoped we dont require to use these rules but this requires all members to assist in this.
