Speaking to Sue we have pegs 21 to 30 which offer a little shelter from the wind.

Looking back on my notes 21 is the corner peg Newcastle end and 30 corner peg up the same bank so all are along one side.
Suggested pegging is 22,23,24,26,27,28,29. any different suggestions please let me know by 4pm Tuesday. I think 25 is in gap between islands.

Cheap and cheerful £15 pegging and pools, leo_martin15@msn.com

pegging 7 x £9 = £63 Hopefully still £9)
Pool 7 x £6 = £42
Pay out match winner £22, 2 x section winners £10 each.
You wont get rich fishing these knock ups but have a laugh along the way

Meet near Gold 2 lake at 8ish, draw 08:15, fish till 4pm try get an early start if possible.

Big Bash Wrinkly Knock up 17, Lindholme Laurels Oasis side 27.8.25

A very wet and dreary day awaited 7 Wrinkly bashers for the latest knock up on Gold 2 lake. Pegs 21 to 30 were our selection which is the Newcastle side bank of Gold lake.

I drew peg 22 which I had fished previously. Some changes made to previous approach, plan was Bomb line about 25m at 11:00, 2+2 maggot line and also paste line. Margin to my left ( which was about 8 inch deep, feeding micros and corn.

Set off on bomb rod fishing 8mm and catapulting 6mm fishery pellets. 3 carp in 3 casts, happy days however they went. Spent about an hour on this line, odd fish then a wait. Moved onto maggot line to see what stamp was I front and surprised to find some crucians waiting, these also gave bites then disappeared. So back on bomb line and rotated bomb and maggot lines. I had fed the left hand margin however the fish in  it were not interested in my hook baits. Sacked this off around 2:30 and after a few more casrp on bomb concentrated on paste line which was producing crucians and I was putting fish in my net.
Strange day, fish feeding then moving away. Caught on bomb rod with 8 and 6mm pellets, double maggot and also Paste. Nothing on corn despite recent match results saying it was working in margins in recent match results.

Peg 22 Leo 40-0 Section win    14-5 silvers, 25-11 carp.
Peg 23 Mick McGlann 32-9 all carp, well done Mick who christened his new seat
Peg 24 Keith Smith 77-10 Match win   45-1 silvers and 32-9, caught early on method to island, bomb rod and then 2+1 and margins on maggot
XXXX
Peg 26 Steve Guy 69-12 Section win   46-14 silvers and 22-14 Carp. Maggot responsible for a lot of fish and also fishing close in on rod.
Peg 27 Paul Atton 65-12 consisting of 6-7 silvers and 59-5 of carp.
Peg 28 John Utting 27-12 made up from 17-2 silvers and 10-10 carp. Struggling for bites so resorted to paste to try put fish in his net.
Peg 29 Kev Webster  58-7   23-5 silvers and 35-2 carp. kev came off his bomb line to try maggots however wished he had stayed on it all day. Hindsight it a wonderful thing

8 and 6mm pellets on Bomb rods accounting for most carp however the humble maggot also gave some good silver nets. Good stocky crucians showing in a few pegs as well.

Rain fell till about 12:30 then there were a few very light showers. The sun did make an appearance but soon hid behind clouds again.

Many thanks for everyone showing up today, despite the rain. Thanks to  Kev and Keith helping with the weigh in as well.

Next knock ups are
Saturday 20th Lindholme Laurels which is fully subscribed.
Wednesday 24th September Lindholme Bonsai, places available
Saturday 4th October places available
