As the season is coming to a close the annual topic of AGM is in need of organising. After discussing it with the Chairman Jasper we suggest (to aid participation) to hold it after the summer league match at Lodge Farm. Meet in the Pilgrim Father's Pub, great North Road DN10 6AT after the match where we can grab a refreshment hot or alcoholic... below is a list of topics but please add or PM me with anything that you wish to bring up.

At the AGM points 4/16

Can I please propose the following changes to the club rules:
Fees points 1 and 2:

An annual, non-refundable summer league membership fee of £20. To be paid by the 1st of February prior to the forthcoming summer league season. To be used to cover outstanding peg fees and any club administration costs incurred.
An annual, non-refundable winter league membership fee of £20. To be paid by the 1st November prior to the forthcoming winter league season. To be used to cover outstanding peg fees and any club administration costs incurred.

These annual membership fees are in addition to the leagues joining fees which go entirely into match payouts.

4/ Club Rules – Rules to be updated – date – head to head to cancel Action LM
(a)   club rule motion passed for pole use must have a float in contact with water. This not required for method feeder being used on pole.
5/ Any complaints received about the club – No
6/ Number of members of the club for 2024 – motion passed for limit at 24 and closing date January 1st 2024. Need to enforce existing rules about first paid on over last paid on. Also guests not to be added until Sunday before match.
7/ 2024 summer league venues, any comments – All good
Note 29TH July left free until after AGM
8/ Match Attendance – discussion on numbers attending matches, if matches are not full then unused pegging fees are still to be paid- issue dealt with later in minutes.
9/ Match fees and losses due to poor attendance - £317 lost funds due to some matches poor attendance – discussion and dealt with later in minutes
10/ pegging fees – in general most expensive £10, on average £9.00 . Fisheries are charging now for unused pegs more and more and also asking for deposits of new bookings
11/ Rod only match – discussion and vote held on Hollywood Bowl, Loco, Island and Curlew. Hollywood Bowl winner with 8 votes
12 / Afternoon match – discussion and vote held – Merrys 27th July 12:00 start till 6pm
13 / Natural venue – short discussion, decision dismissed. Date 29th July to fill now
14/ Float only match – Tripp 28th September
15/ Big bash member's weekend away – short discussion to deal with for those interested, dates, venue availability, all dependant. Interested parties : Glen, Leo, Jasper, Joe, Scott, Paul Whitehouse Chalky and Andy W8. Potential venues Larford, Tunnel or Docklow
16 / annual non-refundable membership fee summer and winter – discussion held and agreement for a £20 non-refundable membership fee to be paid at start of season to cover summer and £10 fee for winter leagues. This would be an annual fee and cover any losses for paying pegs when short of anglers.
17/ Sponsorship and methods of thanking our sponsors Aquastim and Nigel Keith Cooke. Need to increase profile and publicity of our sponsors to help with payback for their support.
Ideas:
Promote electrical works locally and to any contacts club members have
Add pinned web pages on facebook page
Clothing labelling
Stickers for boxes / cars
Club to support anglers who qualify in 2024 for big events with purchases of shirt or fleeces so advertising is shown on any pictures on TV or press

Many thanks for prep work by Jasper/to Steve Guy arranging venue which I thought was very suitable. Special thanks to those who attended and I personally thought its best held after a match for a better attendance.
