I think rule 24 conflicts with rule 5 , also rule 5 conflicts with rule 21 .

Rule 26 surely this should read any person fishing on a Big Bash summer League or Winter League match would be banned and not just a member , also can you clarify if the Ban is just for the fishery or the club ?

Leo Martin

Thankyou Max for the feedback.
The list is growing every year and we do hope not to be called in to used them.

Original rules:-

5    If extra pegs are needed and cannot be obtained above the 20 limit then match booking will be allocated on first come first served basis from forum bookings

21.   It is up to league members to opt out of match if unable to fish and have 7 days notice from match date to withdraw. Any angler not showing up for match will be charged £8.00 peg money

24. Lakes where peg numbers are less than 20, committee places to give up first to enable club anglers to fish if numbers are full.

26. Any BBAC member bringing the club into any disrepute at any fishery will receive an instant ban

Response

Rule 5 I believe requires to include the wording members
proposal
5    If extra pegs are needed and cannot be obtained above the 20 limit then match booking will be allocated on first come first served basis from club members on forum bookings

I can see where 5 and 24 can clash so I propose removing rule 24 in light of discussions at the AGM

Rule 21 should be changed to:-
It is up to league members to opt out of match if unable to fish and have 7 days notice from match date to withdraw.

Rule 21(a) Any angler not showing up for match will be charged £8.00 peg money

in light of comments I propose rule 26 reads

26 Any BBAC member (or Guest on a match associated with the BBAC)  bringing the club into any disrepute at any fishery will receive an instant BBAC club ban.

BBAC members can be fishing any waters in either BBAC matches or knock ups which can effect the reputation of the BBAC club and its abiity to fish the fishery effected by either rule breaking or behaviour hence the ban from the BBAC.

Any other feedback please?

Would of thought a EGM required if you are amending or adding new rules ? If we are truly being democratic

Let's see what and if any other feedback comes in Max and take it from there. So far there has been little feedback

I'm just trying to update/ amend the rules from 2019 following the AGM discussions

It was suggested a rise in none attendance fines, the changes in peg numbers to 20 with a knowledge of first come first served due to 22 members and the disrepute rule be added.
I've also incorporated the fishing half way to next angler rule voted on mid season. Also removed James Maud selection process with there being no team match in 2020.

Are there any more comments about the proposed rules and / or prposed amendments please?
Thanks in advance

I think rule 24 is null and void as we don't book venues that don't have 20 pegs available - such venues are left off the match circuit as we did when we were trying to book 25 pegs. This then brings rule 5 up to date with a first come first served basis, unless you are saying that if all 22 members want to fish and we only have 20 pegs available then the committee men will give up their places first?
Wasn't me!

Leo Martin

Thank you Jasper. I think 24 is now null and void with the first come first served ruling.
